Your art as a gift
By welcoming Captured Moments in your office, home or friendship, you offer an experience of the captivating #Canadianway.
When someone is turning the pages in print and online, whispers of thank you will bond a connection. This growing exhibition of gifting kindness through art makes your present a living legacy. Each book, print and gesture card will be recorded on a map as a live exhibition.
Stories of bear hugs will make for curious water reflections.
“Captured Moments” is a valuable reminder of the passing time and countless, imperfect, small efforts required to thrive in the rugged terrains of innovation and relationships. The book honours the micro-lives and fleeting moments while ploughing through seasons, mostly winters (at least here in Canada!). Winter never leaves; you learn to love it. Such kindness to this harsh season is like surrendering to love. A feeling that arises when you see the glow on the horizon before sunrise, or the end of an economic depression. The vastness and vibrancy of Canadian landscapes, cityscapes, fields, and railroads tell stories of the unspoken words in human communication, which move us in sight of the impossible.

About the “captured”
Artist and Storyteller Mira has collected memories from road and boat trips, gatherings, and everyday commutes for over five years to honour her appreciation of Canada. She reminds us that our memories and life experiences, after all, are like the vastness of the Canadian land – rugged and spectacular, troubled, yet full of vibrancy and kindness. Often playing with concepts from Canadian communication studies, Mira invites the keen observer to spot railroads, planes, wires and words in a uniquely #Canadianway.
Each story is dialectical. Hence, the book inspires the reader to reflect across physical and inner terrains and tell their stories.

Advanced in its delivery, the elegant printed copy is accompanied by a digital edition with audio components. Some of the audio experiences include a Loon call and a northern train whistle.
