About Mira

Mira is a Bulgarian-Canadian storyteller and artist. She uses modern and natural technologies to paint the story of human existence. Her unique approach of layering mixed-media tapestries with sacred stories, performance art, poetry, and ancient languages connects the experiencer with time and space.

The enchantment of her creations comes from a devotion to the storyteller’s journey, which is labour.

Mira uses storytelling, breathwork and meditation, prayer, fasting, and deep reflective techniques to harvest the collective stories she translates onto canvas and stage.

As a Storyteller, Mira holds a safe space for people and communities on their journey to creative potential.

Art on the go → see it slow

“The craft of questions, the craft of stories, the craft of the hands – all these are the making of something, and that something is soul. Anytime we feed soul, it guarantees increase.”

– from Women Who Run With the Wolves (Ballantine/ Bertelsmann 1992, 1996) (p. 14)
